With the support of a MacArthur Foundation grant, Playpower began in 2009 with the goal of designing high-impact learning experiences for underprivileged children around the world (view PopTech! video). After building an incredible team at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and DA-IICT in Gandhinagar, we began building online games to target high-impact skills for struggling learners. Our learning experiences won awards from the National STEM Game Competition, the Marvel Educational App Grand Challenge, and the NYC Department of Education. We published original research on the efficacy of our games and data technologies. We worked extensively with classroom teachers, education researchers, and children to share our unique blend of learning science, game design, and machine learning with students around the world!

In 2016, our company took a different road and started providing data science, design, and software development services to some of the biggest education organizations in the world. We started building a world-class team that boasted having advanced scientific and technical skills to solve some of the most challenging and complex problems in large education organizations. Our highly efficient and friendly style of collaboration earned us much admiration from our happy customers. We published award-winning scientific research with our partners and became leading experts in learning science and technology R&D. Our consulting work has now impacted many millions of students across the United States and India.
